Reports & Exports
Review key numbers, then export when you need to — with clear, privacy-aware confirmations every time.
Encrypted by Default
Your data is stored locally and protected by Apple platform security. Exporting creates a copy outside the app’s protected storage; you’ll always confirm before proceeding.
Overview
Use Reports & Exports to review summaries in-app first. If you choose to export, Solid Invoice explains the format and destination before creating an export copy outside the app’s protected storage.
Available Reports
These reports are live and ready to use:
- Unpaid Invoices — PDF/CSV summaries of outstanding balances.
- Income by Month — CSV trend breakdown of monthly revenue.
- Client Statements — PDF statements with optional branding.
- Tax-Time Export — CSV/ZIP bundle with accountant-ready schemas.
Exports require authentication before the export proceeds.
Export Flow & Privacy Confirmations
- Open Settings → Reports & Exports.
- Select a report and review the on-screen summary.
- Tap Export. A Heads-up dialog explains that export files may be readable outside the app’s protected storage, depending on where you save or share them.
- Authenticate (Face ID/Touch ID/device passcode) to proceed.
- Choose your destination (Files, Mail, Messages, etc.).
This extra step prevents accidental disclosure and keeps exports intentional.
Formats
- CSV — best for spreadsheets, accounting tools, or tax software.
- PDF — ready-to-share summaries (branding options apply; see Branding).
- ZIP — when multiple CSVs and/or attachments are included, you may receive a single ZIP bundle.
Branding on Reports
Report PDFs can include your company logo and footer details if branding is enabled. Control this in Settings → Branding and Settings → Statements Branding.
Delivery Options
- Save to Files (iCloud Drive / On My iPhone / external providers)
- Share Sheet to Mail, Messages, AirDrop, or third-party destinations
- Open in… to hand off directly to compatible apps
Once exported, files are outside Solid Invoice’s protected storage. Store and share responsibly.
Best Practices
- Verify before sharing: open your CSV/PDF and confirm totals, date ranges, and client names.
- Use secure destinations: prefer a private iCloud Drive folder or a shared vault with access controls.
- Rotate exports: delete outdated files you no longer need.
